2nd spread holiday in Orlando

I've finally finished my second spread on our holiday in Orlando. :) This one was much easier for me. I used green and pink, which is my favourite colour combination. The most difficult thing was that I wanted a lot of pictures on this spread. That's always a challenge... And there also had to be a lot of journaling. So, the spread is quite full.

Unfortunately the colours in the picture aren't really bright. I'll try to take another picture soon...

Please do leave your comments for me. I need feedback to improve my layouts.

paper: K&Company, paperpad Wibra, vellum
letters: chipboard letters Kruidvat + paper + ink
numbers: Wibra foam letters & numbers, epoxy stickers Zeeman
flower: prima flowers
brad: Pipoos
swirl & comma's: Pebbles Chips

I won't be working on the next layout until next week, because tomorrow we're off for a few days of holiday. Hopefully we'll be able to take some nice pictures... ;)

1st layout Disney World

I did cost some blood, sweat and tears and most of all a lot of time to make this first spread for my Walt Disney World album, but eventually I finished it.
I started it in a cropweekend with my friend Kim, but I wasn't satisfied about the way it turned out at all... So I put it aside for a couple of days. After that I decided to paint the pages yellow (before that, they were white). You can still see the stamps (border stamp and some dots) I used on the white paper showing through, especially on the left page. But I think of it as a part of the process, so I left it that way.
I guess red just isn't my cup of tea when it comes to scrapbooking... but I really wanted to use the little bag of peanuts and the tickets, so I had to. I'm still not satisfied with this spread, but I can't leave it laying on my desk any longer. Maybe I'll change it all again one day...

Materials:
paper: plain white paper, K&Company, vellum
flowers: Blokker
chipboard letters: Kruidvat
other: buttons, brads, self-cut letters

new background

I just made a whole new background so my blog looks a bit more attractive. ;) I'm not completely satisfied, but for a newbe at digital scrapbooking I thought it was okay. I'll improve it when I've got time for it.

So, If you see somethings that's wrong (like the title isn't centered, or the background doesn't fit) please tell me!

I do have to get back to the real scrapbooking instead of putting all my time into this blog. ;) At the moment I am creating a scrapbook album on our (my boyfriend and my) trip to Disney World. I will show you the first spread soon...

simple mini album

First of all I would like to thank you for your sweet comments on my blog. I love to read all of your blogs as well!

I was just searching for the pictures of my scrap projects, but I can't seem to find a lot of them. Aaah, panic! Hopefully I will find them back... 'cause most of the projects were for other people so I can't take new pictures...

Anyway, I did find the pictures of a mini album for my sister I made a few weeks ago. She turned 30. She doesn't like busy lay outs, so I made a very, very simple album for her. It was all about the pictures. I had to blur the faces for anonymity. Sorry for that.
All of the letters used in this album were hand-cut out of several materials (foam, felt, paper, chipboard, wallpaper).

first scrappages

I started scrapbooking about a year ago. Unfortunately I have a busy life and because of that I don't have a lot of time to scrapbook. But anyway, I want to show you what I created so far.

Let's start with my very first two layouts... Still very simple, but I was happy with it.

First message

Hello everyone,

this is my very first message on my very first blog. :D
I recently started scrapbooking and I saw that a lot of people that share that hobby with me own a blog. I really liked that, so I decided to create one myself. Hopefully I'll be able to pull it off and show some projects that I made.
Anyway, thanks for reading and hope to see you visit again!

love,
Marjan
