My scrap room and a peek

Hi you guys,

here I am again with an update. Today I've been really busy working on my mini album of our trip to Rome last summer. And I thought I would give you a peek of it already. I don't want to show it completely yet, because it's not finished yet. But here is a little of what you can expect:

And besides this peek I wanted to snow you my scrap room. First of all I wanted to clean up before I took the pictures. But then I decided not to do that. Because I think you should see what it looks like when I'm working on a project. So, I did that. And I should warn you that it's really messy. Here my scrap table is:

I bought this table only like two months ago. Before that I had a really small table. I still have that one. It's on the other side of the room. And it is totally packed with so much junk! Sorry for that. But this is the space I used to work on:

On the picture of my new table you might have seen this round thingy with a lot of scrapbooking supplies clipped on to it. I'm so happy with that thing. My dad made it. It keeps my supplies so well organized! Here is a close up:

That was all I wanted to share with you today. I'll be back soon to show you what I made this past year. One of the things is a mini album made out of the cardboard box my new scrap table came in. ;)
Have a good week!

Love,
Marjan

I'm back

So, finally I'm back after more than a year. Time flies by so fast. At first I was really excited to make this blog, but I didn't realise that it would take so much time to keep it updated.

Anyway... recently I'm back at reading other people's blogs and I realised that I really missed blogging myself. So, I decided to go back here and bring this blog back to life.

I didn't stop scrapbooking the last year. In fact, I kind of created my own style lately and that feels great. I will show you what I made this last year and keep you updated on all the other things that are important.

I will also try to create a new background for this blog, 'cause this one doesn't really suite me anymore. I'll do this asap.

For now I hope you will keep coming back to my blog to see my creations. And I promise I'll try to update frequently. ;) Thank you so much for stopping by!

three more cards

Sorry for the lack of updates... I have been quite busy, but I did have some time to make a few cards.

This first card I've made for some people that gave my sister tickets for a concert (the won the tickets, but weren't able to go themselves). We sent this card as a thank you.

This card I've made for my cousin who celebrated his birthday. Unfortunately I couldn't make it to his party, so I decided to make him a card.

And my final card is a birthday card for my mum. It is actually the nicest card I've made so far. At least, that's my opinion.

Please let me know what you think and please give me tips to improve my cards.

birthday card

It's been quiet for some time, because we were celebrating our vacation. But I've been back to work again for some days now, so it was time for a new card.
I just made a simple birthday card. Nothing fancy.

one of my first cards

I have made a few cards before, but unfortunately I lost the pictures of them. I still have a little hope I will find them again someday... But anyway, this week I made another card with which I'm actually quite pleased. It's a card for my friend Kim (who also scraps) who just moved in with her boyfriend.

paper: plain pink paper, K&Company
stamps: studio G
letters: dymo tape, self-cut wallpaper
flower: punched old book paper, self-made chipboard button

I also want to let you know that I found these two great candies. First of all I love Amy's cards @ a thousand sheets of paper. Recently she discovered that she used 1000 different sheets of pattern paper. LOL. And now she wants to give away 100 sheets of 6x6 paper! ;) Ain't that fun? Check it out:

Another candy I wanted to show you is this one by Ingeborg. It's a candy with a twist 'cause you have to think of an assignment for next months competition.

2nd spread holiday in Orlando

I've finally finished my second spread on our holiday in Orlando. :) This one was much easier for me. I used green and pink, which is my favourite colour combination. The most difficult thing was that I wanted a lot of pictures on this spread. That's always a challenge... And there also had to be a lot of journaling. So, the spread is quite full.

Unfortunately the colours in the picture aren't really bright. I'll try to take another picture soon...

Please do leave your comments for me. I need feedback to improve my layouts.

paper: K&Company, paperpad Wibra, vellum
letters: chipboard letters Kruidvat + paper + ink
numbers: Wibra foam letters & numbers, epoxy stickers Zeeman
flower: prima flowers
brad: Pipoos
swirl & comma's: Pebbles Chips

I won't be working on the next layout until next week, because tomorrow we're off for a few days of holiday. Hopefully we'll be able to take some nice pictures... ;)

1st layout Disney World

I did cost some blood, sweat and tears and most of all a lot of time to make this first spread for my Walt Disney World album, but eventually I finished it.
I started it in a cropweekend with my friend Kim, but I wasn't satisfied about the way it turned out at all... So I put it aside for a couple of days. After that I decided to paint the pages yellow (before that, they were white). You can still see the stamps (border stamp and some dots) I used on the white paper showing through, especially on the left page. But I think of it as a part of the process, so I left it that way.
I guess red just isn't my cup of tea when it comes to scrapbooking... but I really wanted to use the little bag of peanuts and the tickets, so I had to. I'm still not satisfied with this spread, but I can't leave it laying on my desk any longer. Maybe I'll change it all again one day...
